Our initial appointment will be a consultation for the purpose of evaluation. After evaluation, I will offer some first impressions of what our work might include and an initial treatment plan. You may use this information – along with your own comfort in working with me – to make your decision as to whether you would like to pursue treatment. If you do not feel comfortable working with me, or if I do not feel able to help you for any reason, I will inform you and your referring doctor and give advice where possible about other avenues for treatment that may meet your needs.

Regular follow-up appointments are required to ensure good care. Follow-up appointments are scheduled for either 50 minutes or 30 minutes, depending on the complexity of the issue and whether we are setting aside time for therapy. Please note that some of the consultation time may be spent writing letters to other healthcare professionals, such as your General Practitioner (GP).

Nourishing Minds Psychiatry is not an urgent or emergency service provider.

If you need immediate support, please call 000 or attend to your nearest Hospital Emergency Department.

If you are in NSW, The Mental Health Line (NSW Statewide) 1800 011 511 will connect you with your local area Acute Care Team.

Where appropriate, a General Practitioner (GP) should be contacted.

Prescriptions are usually sent to you electronically via SMS (or email), and I typically submit refills during scheduled appointments. If you are coming for regularly scheduled appointments at a minimum of every three months, I may provide a prescription refill between appointments at a fee of $50. Please allow 3 business days for me to respond to refill requests. Please do not leave these requests to the last minute. If you have not been seen in over three months, you will need to schedule an appointment to obtain a prescription refill.

I solely offer telehealth consultations via video conference and do not conduct in-person appointments.

I do not provide NDIS or disability evaluations, worker's compensation evaluations, forensic evaluations, or provide legal services or testimony. Should you require legal testimony at some point during our treatment together, you will need to retain an independent forensic psychiatrist.
