Dr Ana Musarevski

Hi, my name is Ana, and I’m a psychiatrist based in Sydney, Australia. I have a profound fascination with understanding how the mind, brain, and body interact. I believe in integrating scientific knowledge from Western medicine with Eastern wisdom and holistic perspectives, such as mindfulness and spirituality. I am also interested in the gut-brain connection and the role of metabolic health and nutritional interventions in the field of psychiatry.

My approach involves integrating conventional psychiatry treatments with complementary interventions to provide the best possible care for my patients.

I hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Sydney (USYD) and have previously completed a Bachelor of Medical Science degree with first-class honours (BMedSci (Hons)) at USYD. I am a medical doctor and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).

I have gained experience and training in various tertiary hospital settings across South-Eastern and South-Western Sydney, as well as in private practice. Additionally, I have completed training in quality improvement science and am dedicated to providing the highest-quality personalised treatment recommendations to my patients.

Coming from a first-generation Australian background with Macedonian heritage, I also deeply appreciate the significance of acculturation and community in the realm of psychiatry and aim to dismantle any barriers that might hinder people's understanding and treatment of mental health, empowering them to thrive in life.
